Being Married to James

Christmas came early for me because James couldn’t hide it from me. Ha ha Enjoy the video.  This is one of the many reasons why I love James so! It isnt even the gift itself, perse... It is the fact that he supports me and tries to make me happy every single day.

Okay, so two weeks ago, James bought me a chair. It was a random gift, so I asked him what it was for. He told me it was to sit in when I apply makeup. I dont think he considered the way our bathroom is set up though--  I mean, there is no leg room under the sinks. Long story short, the chair went unused (except once) these past two weeks since he presented it to me, and I guess he wasn't sure why... Fast forward to yesterday. I wake up and go into our bathroom this morning just to find my new vanity chair sitting in the bathtub. why? James in all his wisdom, had placed the chair there he said, for my convenience. He told me that since he got me the chair, I should be able to use it. I told him that I will bring the chair into the bathroom to apply my makeup sometimes but not daily. James looked crestfallen. He WANTS me to be comfortable, so he thinks I should sit and apply my makeup instead of standing. Annnnnddd.... That's why he put the chair in...

Thanksgiving actually went off without a hitch this year. But honestly,  I’m not surprised. 2017 has been one of the BEST years of my life. Only 2008 comes close. (Ahhhhh 2008 was such a good year) This past year my entire life improved. Even with the ups and downs, it was still an amazingly happy year.  James and I hosted Thanksgiving. It was his first time ever hosting the holiday at his own house. Even during his previous marriage, he had always went to his parents' home, or his ex-wife's parents hosted. Being newly married AND vegan, I thought it would be a good idea to host TG because I want to establish our own family holiday traditions as well as continue to enjoy our honeymoon phase. James and I This morning I think I dreamed that James got home from working his part-time around 3AM. Some time in the late night, I felt cool hands on my neck. They had gently slipped under the blanket that was covering me. I felt my favorite bamboo blanket slide down to my shoulders and my neck was exposed. I actually began to wake up and realized this wasnt a dream. It actually was my husband of five months, James Jackson, Jr. He HAD come home and was currently caressing my head and pulling my blanket down. Suddenly I felt more awake at the thought of him touching me this way. Judging by the draft of air I was feeling on my newly exposed neck, I was sweating like a pig, AGAIN! My eyes were still closed but popped open when I felt James leaning in. Was he going to kiss my sweaty and possibly stinky neck? I cringed at the thought. I whispered, "I'm sweaty..." James said he didnt mind, and proceeded to kiss the back of my neck and nibble it too for good measur...
