Okay, so two weeks ago, James bought me a chair. It was a random gift, so I asked him what it was for. He told me it was to sit in when I apply makeup. I dont think he considered the way our bathroom is set up though-- I mean, there is no leg room under the sinks. Long story short, the chair went unused (except once) these past two weeks since he presented it to me, and I guess he wasn't sure why...
Fast forward to yesterday. I wake up and go into our bathroom this morning just to find my new vanity chair sitting in the bathtub.
why?
James in all his wisdom, had placed the chair there he said, for my convenience. He told me that since he got me the chair, I should be able to use it. I told him that I will bring the chair into the bathroom to apply my makeup sometimes but not daily. James looked crestfallen.
He WANTS me to be comfortable, so he thinks I should sit and apply my makeup instead of standing.
Annnnnddd.... That's why he put the chair in the tub! For me to easily access it! LOL He didn't know that the only reason I didn't use the chair much was because I have no leg room! He simply thought I didn't want to move the chair from bedroom to bathroom every time I wanted to put on makeup. (Actually, that is a part of it, but really not the main reason.) My sweety didn't realize that since the sink doesn't have any space for my legs, I'm forced to sit rather uncomfortably in the chair with my legs straddling its sides.
When I saw the chair, I just busted out laughing. I was like, "Why is the chair in the Jacuzzi?"
James, walks into the bathroom, gives me a hug and says, "I put it in here for you, so you'd have it right here."
I just hugged his neck and gave him a kiss. He's too sweet. We don't use the tub often, so it's ok for now. I told him that I appreciate his thoughts and I love that he did that for me. (I really don't like the chair sitting in the dang tub, but why would I tell him that when he was motivated by love to bless me? I didn't even mention the leg room thing)
I told him that ideally I would like a nice makeup vanity one day to use with my chair. If only we had the space for it. James walked me back into our room and points to a corner where I have a bookcase. He told me that we can move that and put a vanity there. I started getting excited. I had a vanity as a teen and always wanted another one. Back then, it was full of doll stuff and hair crap. This time, it would be full of glorious MAKEUP!!!
After our talk about the vanity, we got dressed and went to work. Sometime in the early afternoon, I got an email from James with a link to a cute IKEA vanity. He said that he was trying to get an idea of what I like.
Guess I'm gonna get a new vanity soon.
I love my husband. So glad I married him. He tells me often that his mission is to make me happy. I believe him.
